Title:37th Annual JCS Arts & Crafts Festival
Description:DESCRIPTION: This event provides a family day of activity and fun for the community beginning with a 5,000-meter race at 9AM. A giant tent in the lower parking lot contains about 30 craft booths, and the cafeteria and lower parking lot are filled with food booths (featuring homemade ham pot pie, chicken corn soup, apple dumplings, homemade pies and barbecued chicken). A Kid’s Korner featuring a bouncy, crafts, face painting, carnival games and other activities is available throughout the day. Additionally, several auctions (Adult, Children’s and Silent) are held which typically raise an additional $25,000 for the general budget. The main auction of wood items, quilts, outdoor furniture, weekend get-aways, plants, shrubs and gift certificates is located in the gymnasium and begins early afternoon and generally continues until 6:00 p.m. See Website for more information.

Description:The Plant Celebration has become a spring tradition at the Centre Furnace Mansion and plays an important role in the fun and fundraising efforts of the Centre County Historical Society! The Plant Celebration & Garden Sale is one of CCHS’s largest fundraising events. Do your Spring garden shopping here, while supporting a local non-profit organization that helps people understand, experience, appreciate and preserve Centre County’s cultural and natural heritage. More information: 814-234-4779 LOCATION: The Centre Furnace Mansion is located at 1001 E. College Avenue, State College. Parking is available in the lower lawn along College Avenue, as well as in the Mansion parking lot off of Porter Road.
