Join the Centre County Historical Society on Sunday, August 26 at 2:00 p.m. for “Native People and Their Paths in Central Pennsylvania” by Ralph Seeley at the Centre Furnace Mansion.
Through this program, based on Seeley’s book by the same name, Ralph fills in gaps and dispels some myths about the earliest inhabitants of our area using maps, images and “word pictures” to put visually take you into early Pennsylvania forests. Native People and Their Paths will appeal to hikers, nature lovers and those interested in the Native American’s that once lived in and passed through Central Pennsylvania.
Ralph will highlight the historical research that has uncovered documents, photos, and maps through an illustrated presentation and be available to sign books that will be available for sale.
The program is free and open to the public. Donations are graciously accepted. Seating is limited.
The Centre Furnace Mansion is located at 1001 E. College Avenue, State College. Event parking is available on the lower lawn along College Avenue, as well as in the Mansion lot off of Porter Road.
