Description:The Stocking Stuffer sale features the hand-crafted work of local artisans and fine antiques by local dealers creating a unique indoor showcase featuring over 50 vendors. Gift items for sale include: Fresh wreaths and holiday arrangements, ceramics, fine paper arts, pewter, china and glassware, antiques and vintage collectibles, hand-made figurines, linens, photography, jewelry and more! The Historical Society’s museum store also features books on local history and historic map reproductions. By shopping locally and purchasing our community artisans’ hand-made crafts, you also support a non-profit organization that in turn supports your community through educational programming for adults and children. Enjoy shopping in this festively decorated Victorian ambiance. The $5 admission includes hot cider and desserts. Children 12 & under free. Proceeds benefit Centre County Historical Society.

2017 Polar Bear Express Trolley

Description:Come visit the Rockhill Trolley Museum and enjoy a night time ride aboard a historic electric trolley car while viewing the lighted holiday displays and singing carols along the way. The Polar Bear Express will operate Rain, Snow, or Shine. Trolleys will depart from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children. Those 2 and under will ride FREE. The museum is located at 430 Meadow Street (PA 994), Rockhill Furnace, PA 17249, which is just west of US 522 in Orbisonia. Description:As a gift to the local area, Friedens Lutheran Church, Route 281 North in Friedens (Somerset County), will be hosting The Allan Scott Band (of the State College area) for a FREE CONCERT on Friday, December 1, at 7:00 p.m. This Christian band provides a high energy performance for people of all ages. There will be limited seating, so call the church office at (814) 445-4627 to reserve your free tickets. A freewill offering will be received to support the Salvation Army’s new ministry “Bridges of Hope,” which is working to end chronic poverty in our area.
