Description:Living historians bivouac (encampment) on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Military Museum portraying the combat soldier of the Vietnam era in Southeast Asia. Daily programs include accompanying squads on Recon Patrols and a tactical patrol ambush demonstration at 1:30 p.m. Bivouac opens at 10 a.m.

Description:Join the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Centre County and partner organizations for a day of family fun activities, interactive exhibits, and hands-on demonstrations as we discover the secret lives of butterflies, bees, and all of our pollinator pals. The amazing Pollinator Parade kicks off the day as pollinator enthusiasts of all ages come dressed as their favorite pollinator, parading through the park to the Snetsinger Butterfly Garden. Visitors can take home a free milkweed plant to start their own pollinator-friendly habitat (while supplies last). This event is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages.

Description:In 1970, a four-month long battle was fought between the 101st Airborne Division and North Vietnamese Army regulars in the triple canopy jungle west of the A Shau Valley. Due to a media blackout, most Americans knew little of this fight that had taken Buffalo Bills Rookie of the Year Bob Kalsu, and Weiland Norris, brother of action star Chuck Norris. Newspaper editor and author of the book, “Remembering Firebase Ripcord,” Chris Brady will discuss this action in a talk and book signing at the Pennsylvania Military Museum; 51 Boal Ave, Boalsburg 16827

Title:9th Annual "Coats for Kids" Motorcycle Run
Description:The 9th Annual "Coats for Kids" Motorcycle Benefit Run will be hosted by the Nanty-Glo Historical Society. We will be leaving from the Liberty Café, 929 Roberts Street, Nanty Glo, PA 15943, and going on an approximate 100 mile ride through the northern part of the county. There will be a Best Bicycle Contest for the kids, The Classic Clowns will be making balloon animals and doing face painting. The will be a Best Motorcycle Contest, a Basket Raffle, Cash Raffle and Music provided by "Ruff Tymes". The Liberty Café will be having a spaghetti dinner, which is free for all motorcycle riders, all others $9.00, kids under 12 are $5.00 and kids under 5 are free.
