Johnstown Fire Investigation

It has been two weeks now since fire destroyed a historic building in Johnstown and left one man homeless.  The cause of the fire has been under investigation and police have charged a local teenager with arson.  The State Police Fire Marshal tells us the fire started in a back bedroom on the first floor of the house.  That is where Dr. Anthony Gergley had an antique rope bed with a foam mattress that Frew says was highly combustible.  Frew says the fifteen year old boy admitted to throwing lit matches on the bed to see if it would ignite and it did quickly.  Police also tell us that the boy has had some problems in the past saying he has a fascination with emergency personnel and first responders.  The boy's name has not been released but he is spending time in the Cambria County Juvenile Detention Center.
