Joe Paterno's family is still fighting to clear the coach's name. They announced plans to appeal the sanctions imposed by the NCAA against Penn State for the Jerry Sandsuky scandal. Attorney Wick Sollers sent a letter to the NCAA saying the organization acted hastily and without any regard for due process. The landmark NCAA penalties included a four year bowl ban, loss of scholarships and vacated 111 wins meaning Paterno is no longer the winningest coach in College Football history. The Paterno family says the Freeh report is one sided and full of errors. That report claims Paterno and other Penn State Leaders worked to cover up the sex scandal.
