If you do not have a way to escape the heat and stay cool it could be very dangerous.  The senior centers in Blair County have an emergency plan in place to help older people beat the heat.  Officials say they are constantly monitoring the heat index.  When it goes above one hundred and fifty they will use the facilities as a cooling center and offer extended hours.
