Penn State President Rodney Erickson praised lawmakers for the decision to restore higher education and kindergarten through twelfth funding to last year's levels.  Penn State is expecting two hundred and fourteen million dollars in appropriations, which will be used to hold the tuition increase to the lowest level in decades.  Students heading to University Park will see a two point nine percent increase.  Those heading to commonwealth campuses will see a one point nine percent increase.
