Transportation Bill May Help Route 219

Congress has reached a tentative agreement on a new Federal Transportation Bill. According to the Tribune Democrat that Bill is giving Somerset County Officials new hope about the southern expansion of Route 219. The report says the Bill would allow use of toll credits which would allow for expansion of the four lane highway between Somerset Township and Meyersdale. The current bill extension expires Friday night.
