Turn around-don't drown, that is the campaign for when it rains and pours and roads flood. Apparently not everyone pays attention to the road closed due to flooding signs. State lawmakers are considering a bill that would ticket drivers who ignore the signs and drive into flooded roadways, why? Because they say that endangers their lives and taxing rescuers. The penalty could mean two points on your license an up to a five hundred dollar fine plus, of course, the cost for any rescue. Local emergency and police officials are hailing the idea.
