Yesterday we showed you video of the Cambria County DUI Taskforce set up in Richland late Friday night. The idea was to combat drinking and driving. They stopped over four hundred cars. Seven were charged with DUI. Police tell us this works as a deterrent because the public tend to find other options then driving while drunk. Huntingdon State Police wants the public to know they will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in the upcoming weeks and there is zero tolerance for driving under the influence. Police say it would be a good idea to find a designated driver or simply do not drink and drive.
