A Bedford County high school baseball coach is facing assault charges after troopers say the man admitted to having a sexual relationship with a student. According to a criminal complaint, Daniel Taylor has been charged statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors. Taylor is a baseball coach at Tussey Mountain Junior/Senior High School. Troopers received a report he had been hanging out and engaging in a sexual relationship with a student and the student had a picture of the two in her locker, the complaint says. According to the complaint, troopers went to the school Tuesday and spoke with the principal who directed them to the locker. Troopers say they found two pictures of Taylor and the student inside the locker Taylor was kissing the student in one of the pictures. Taylor was called to the high school; in an interview with state police he said that he had fallen for the student after the two began talking on Snapchat, the complaint says. Troopers say Taylor admitted to having a sexual relationship with the student beginning in December and the two engaged in sexual intercourse several times in various locations, including in a friend´┐Żs house and in Taylor's car. Taylor has a preliminary hearing Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. He is free on unsecured bail.
