The sentencing of convicted child abuser and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky has been upheld. He returned to court Friday afternoon for a re-sentencing hearing due to a legal technicality. He was sentenced in 2012 on more than 40 counts of child sex abuse and was given a 30- to 60-year prison sentence, which he is currently serving. However, a state court ruled that there was a problem with how the mandatory minimum sentence was applied, resulting in Friday's hearing. There has been some speculation on whether any other issues will be opened in the case, and whether his sentence will remain the same. The hearing began at 1 p.m. and lasted about an hour.
