A Centre County volunteer fire company is hosting its annual homecoming. The Mountain Top Fire Company's three-day homecoming event brings people from all over the community together. It's mountain top fire company's biggest fundraiser of the year, they have prizes, games, and food, all for this weekend's extravaganza. Bringing people together is the goal of this event, says Sharpless, but the support from the community is what makes it all ha'pen. "We're all volunteer. We have a spectacular turn out of community to help us. We can never do it without the community support. I mean they run our food stand, help bake stuff, all of our Chinese auction stuff is provided, they just bring it. Most of it we don't even ask for," Sharpless says, This three-day weekend event is full of new events each day for people of all ages. The fire company claims the Chinese auction is where they see most of the action. "We have every night is games, we have concession stands, kids games. We have a Chinese auction, probably one of the biggest you'll ever see in the area. We'll sell 5,000 tickets in three days for that," says Sharpless. The events starts Thursday night at 7, and will continue until Saturday for the big fireman's parade.
