Police say the man responsible for shooting a cat in the head with an arrow in Cameron County has been taken into custody. According to a police report, 21-year-old Keaun Kennedy, of Driftwood, was charged after police received information regarding the incident Thursday. Officials say the cat was shot Monday at a trailer court on Songer Lane in Emporium and was later euthanized because of the severity of her injuries. The owner of the cat said Beauty escaped while he was doing some remodeling and returned later with the arrow still stuck in her head. Court documents show Kennedy faces charges of felony animal torture and a misdemeanor charge of cruelty to animals. His bail, which he was able to post, was set at $5,000.
