The Community Foundation for the Alleghenies officially has a new home. The Cambria Regional Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for the foundation's new office inside the Ameriserv building in downtown Johnstown. The foundation works with non-profits and community groups to help build up the region and make a positive impact. The new location includes a community board room for anyone to come and use. All you have to do is reserve the room on the foundation's website. Foundation officials hope this will attract more people to stop by and work with them in the future. "Meeting together, sharing our partnership and making the community better is what it's all about, and that's why we exist," said President Mike Kane. "And so now we have this bigger space where we can meet more, we can engage, we can learn about them, they can learn about the Community Foundation, and that's what we want to have happen, so it's reallY about community building and community engagement." Previously, the foundation's office was located in the Somerset Trust building.
