The state Supreme Court is now reviewing a recent decision that called for Jerry Sandusky to be resentenced in Centre County. The resentencing order came from the state Superior Court as Sandusky is serving a 30- to 60-year prison term. In ordering that he be resentenced, the state Superior Court rejected Sandusky's request for a new trial. In 2012, he was convicted on more than 40 child sex abuse charges. The Supreme Court review comes after the prosecutors in the case, the state attorney general's office, decided not to file a separate appeal on the resentencing order. Sandusky's attorney says that's the only issue involved with this ruling. Sandusky's attorney says he's preparing another appeal to the state Supreme Court that will include another request for a new trial.
