Officials with the Pennsylvania Turnpike said part of the roadway will be closed Saturday night into Sunday morning. They said the eastbound lanes will close at 11 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday between the New Stanton and Breezewood exits. The lanes are being closed so crews can safely finish placing steel beams for the new North Center Avenue bridge near mile marker 110 in Somerset County, according to officials. Officials suggest the following detour for motorists exiting at the New Stanton Interchange U.S. Route 119 north to Pennsylvania Turnpike Route 66 north to U.S. Route 22 east to I-99 south to U.S. Route 30 east. Traffic will re-enter the Pennsylvania Turnpike at the Breezewood Interchange. They said drivers will be permitted to enter the turnpike going eastbound at the Bedford Interchange, which is Exit 146.
