Police went to a motel in Somerset after getting a report of a child walking outside a room naked, a criminal complaint said. Officers found the child outside a Super 8 motel along Water Works Road on Saturday. According the complaint, 24-year-old Vivian Prettywoman Ephrim, of Arizona, was staying at the motel with her children ages 5, 3 and 2. When police arrived, they were met by Ephrim's boyfriend, who police said asked them to check on the kids. Police entered the room and could smell marijuana, according to the complaint. Police said Ephrim handed them a partially lit joint and said it was hers, the complaint said. Police also found a larger baggie of marijuana under a pillow on the bed. Police said the plastic bag was within reach of the children who were playing on the bed when they arrived. Ephrim was charged with use/possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of children, according to court documents. She is being held on a $50,000 bond. According to police, Ephrim also has a summary warrant for violation of court in Arizona.
