Logan Township police said a State College man has been charged with driving a stolen vehicle and being responsible for a hit and run crash. Forrest Barrett, 28, has been charged with theft by unlawful taking receiving stolen property, driving under the influence, hit and run to an attended traffic violation and a traffic violation. According to police, they were dispatched to the intersection of Old 6th Avenue and North 8th Street after a witness said a silver Ford Focus struck his vehicle and drove away Thursday morning. The Focus was later reported as stolen, and officers were able to locate the vehicle by using its GPS device, according to police. Police said they made a traffic stop on Coal Tower and arrested the driver, Barrett. He is in the Blair County Prison on $20,000 bail.
