Legos in the Classroom

A new type of education system coming to a school in Cambria County, involving Legos. Teachers at Divine Mercy Catholic Academy in Johnstown attended training to learn how to teach students to become problem solvers and innovators by using toy building blocks. It's all part of the String Program which is an extension of the Stem providing by adding two core elements. Religion and Art. The school says it's the only school in the area to use this type of comprehensive approach in a classroom. "It's about innovating and keeping up and trying to keep up with everybody around us in the world of technology, thats tough to do, we actually want to become the leader in that now. And Lego education is one way to do that."
