With freezing temperatures much of the week a huge problem is freezing pipes. Today we spoke to a plumber who knows what to do if it does happen to you. Be mindful of your plumbing and homeowners should know to keep the house heat on and if you have any pipes outside, insulate them. If you have any stubborn pipes, keep them slightly on. If you are going away it would not hurt to have a neighbor check in. It only takes 24 hours for a house to freeze. "Get yourself a hairdryer and plug it in, be very safe and keep it moving over the frozen pipe. Most importantly, be patient." "Don't use a torch. People burn their houses down with the flame." And a message Tonight make sure to never leave a personal space heater unattended, and make sure to unplug it before leaving your home.
