The State Prison in Somerset is still on lockdown. Officials say they expect the lockdown to last at least until Wednesday or until the contraband search is completed. This is the third time that the prison has been locked down in two months. The public information officer Alan Joseph says having back-to-back lockdown's is not normal. He says contraband could be coming in through visitors, volunteers, or even staff. "That's part of the ongoing investigation. We had the same issues in here that you would have in the community. There's always gonna be people who are gonna want to use drugs. There are always those people who are gonna try to profit from that." Joseph says all visitors and employees are required to go thru a metal detector and are scanned for drugs during this time there will be no visitation or volunteer programs until the prison is out of lockdown.
