There is new information tonight about a roller coaster accident from last summer. State investigators have released details about what happened when a child fell out of a ride at Idlewild Amusement Park. They lay out a timeline of events leading up to the child being ejected from the ride. It says the little boy was under the required size restriction for the ride. And that a witness saw the child switch seats with the adult in his group putting the boy with another young child. The ride was closed immediately after the incident and is still closed. It can only reopen after changes have been made. Idlewild released a statement saying, "The fact that a small child was improperly seated next to the entrance/exit opening of a coaster cabin without an adult riding partner.." it goes on say , "it was a tragic occurrence in likes of which has never happened at Idlewild."
