Coal industry leaders met with Somerset County Chamber of Commerce Today. According to the head of that Chamber of Commerce 70 new jobs are coming to Somerset County. In may, when Corsa Coal Corporation plans to open a new mine. At the meeting leaders from across the industry expressed their hopes the 2017 will be a good year for coal. The executive director of the chamber says the industry is good for local business in somerset. "They buy from the hardware stores. They buy from the local dealers. Day by -- and they do a lot of local buying. They do a lot of that." Industry leaders are also happy after President Trump signed a bill Today repealing a law regulation that was designed to protect rivers from coal pollution. The President called it in his words, another terrible job killing rule.
