Governor Tom Wolf was in State College this Morning to talk about the push for new business developments in the state. His visit to State College and Penn State is part of the push to promote that area as a new silicon valley for start up companies. The governor stopping by the Launch Box project in downtown State College, which is a collaborative effort as a business incubator for young entrepreneurs. The Launch Box is a success story on several fronts: it helps the state economy, creates new jobs and keeps young people interested in doing business here. "The Launch Box is a reflection of his sense of urgency, his sense of purpose when it comes to taking what's in the minds and laboratories and hard drives and even some cases filing cabinets in State College, Penn State University, and take those out of the filing cabinets, take those ideas out of the laboratories and hard drives and turn them into really good jobs." Centre County was ranked as the 10th best place in the country in terms of starting a new business.
