Penn State's 17th President Rodney Erickson is enjoying his retirement saying he has no regrets. He took over for former President Graham Spanier amidst the Jerry Sandusky scandal. Boxes clutter Doctor Rodney Erickson's new and much smaller faculty office. As of last Sunday Erickson is officially retired and looking forward to getting back to his roots as a farmer on his land in Ferguson Township. He took the Presidency in 2011 right after the Board Of Trustees ousted Graham Spanier in response to the Sandusky scandal. He entered the office during a time of turmoil the worst situation the University has ever faced. He lead the University through the release of the Freeh Report, sanctions of the football program and a national back lash on the schools ethics and priorities.
