Johnstown Dog Attack

A 56 year old man is recovering in the intensive care unit after being attacked by two dogs in the Hornerstown section of Johnstown Friday night. Johnstown Police say the extent of his injuries is not a dog attack it's a mauling. Officers responded for an attack at the intersection of Pine and Poplar Street just after 10 Friday night. Police say one dog was shot by a neighbor in an effort to get the dog off the man and was wounded in the leg. The other dog was shot and killed by Officers because they say it was a threat to the public because the gate to the fence was not secure. Police say the victim has bite wounds to his ears, face and arms and legs. Police say the owners of the dogs will be charged.
