Hundreds gather to kick off the Winter Special Olympics by taking the chilling plunge in hopes of raising money to support the athletes.  The water was calm until people who are crazy for a cause charged the freezing water.  Rescue crews provided safety for all the plungers.  People from all ages gathered.  There were costume contests, food and hot chocolate for warmth.
