It appears taxes will be going up in the Windber Area School District next year but a published report says the district may have side stepped any staff layoffs. The Somerset Daily American reports that Windber School Board approved a tentative fifteen point two million dollar budget Tuesday night. That calls for a 1.7 mil tax hike.
